Hesed Recap 6 min → The Body & Mutual Commitments 16 → ROUND 1 (15) → Gifted to Serve 14 → ROUND 2 (15) → Devoted & Accountable 16 → Pathway & Communion 8. No table round after the heavy block — the hallway is yours.
ROUND ONE · THE COMMITMENTS, BOTH DIRECTIONS · 15 MIN
- Which of the seven member commitments comes most naturally? Which one stretches you the most?
- "Covenant, not contract." In your own words — what's the difference, and why might it matter here?
- Your leaders make commitments to you, too. Does being under spiritual leadership give you more pause, or more relief? Why?
Purpose: honesty about what stretches and what gives pause — the covenant runs both ways. Tip: I just said "Pause is allowed here" — don't argue anyone out of theirs; ask what's behind it.
ROUND TWO · YOUR GIFTS, YOUR PLACE · 15 MIN
- Which one or two gifts feel most like you? Where have others affirmed your gifts before?
- Where do you sense God might be inviting you to serve in this body?
- What's one honest barrier — time, fear, a past bad experience — that has kept you on the "spectating" side?
Purpose: name a gift and picture a place to use it — off the "spectating" side. Tip: let the table affirm each other; "I see that in you" from a peer outweighs your assessment.
- COVENANT CARDS are at your table — a warm invitation, zero pressure.
- "Not ready" is welcomed: "that's ok, but would you mind sharing with us why?" (the handout's own words).
- Matthew 18 and the "honest word" come AFTER your last round — no table time follows. Be available in the hallway.
- A wound named today gets acknowledgment, never defense — and a one-on-one soon.
- Capture names before you leave: ready · hesitant · unbaptized · wants more.
- End warm — the afternoon closes at the table of Jesus.
